Applications of wireless sensor network in road traffic monitoring are rapidly expanded. Traditional topology places network nodes randomly, leading to waste of energy and decreased network throughput. We propose a new way to form the network topology for road traffic. This is achieved by applying a new data frame and a linear placement strategy to reduce both the network load and the redundant information transmission. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can save node energy, prolong the network life span, and increase network throughput.

This paper presents a novel method of automatic test pattern generation for multi clock system, called S&CCT. The method classifies the system into equivalent clocks and serial clocks according to some regulations, and fixes the rightness of capture sequence. A concurrent fault simulator is used to simulate test vectors both on logic and timing in ATPG. The test vector generat or uses the simulating information, avoiding generating invalid vectors. Experiments show that S&CCT can reduce the number of test vectors by about 50% comparing with common methods, and has no influence on the cost of circuit hardware.

A novel dual polarization microstrip patch element and its array are proposed. The element is fed through two orthogonal H shaped slots with high isolation. The measured isolation is better than 42 dB in an operation bandwidth of 8.8~9.8 GHz. As a sub array for SAR applications, the feed network of an array consisting these elements has a simple configuration. An eight element linear array has been designed and fabricated. Experimental results are in good agreement with the theory, with high isolation (>30 dB) and low cross polarization characteristics (<-32.5 dB).

Current QoS routing algorithms used in Ad Hoc networks are unsuitable for multimedia networks critical to multiple objects. This paper presents a QoS routing algorithm based on multi object programming, which optimizes the routing cost and the data loss rate based on constraints of the delay in multimedia real time services. Feasibility of the algorithm is verified with an example.

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be conditionally permutable in G if for every subgroup T of G there exists an element x ∈ G such that HTx=TxH. If H is conditionally permutable in every subgroup of G containing H ,then H is said to be completely conditionally permutable subgroup in G .In this paper, some new results are obtained according to the conditional permutability of some subgroups.

Based on the principle of differential quadrature method (DQM), the DQ discretization equations of space axial symmetry problems in elasticity in two cases of static state and free vibration are derived, and numerical calculations are implemented in the present paper. The effect of spacing points on the numer ical results is considered when different spacing points are adopted. Comparison between the results and those obtained from FEM shows that the differential qua drature method has some merits such as higher accurate, good convergence, few gr id points and calculation workload.

Based on the theory of porous media and viscoelasticity, the behavior of Rayleigh waves in an incompressible liquid saturated viscoelastic porous hal f space is investigated. Under the assumptions of microscopic incompressibility o f solid and fluid phases and the solid skeleton behaving as viscoelastic one and infinitesimal deformation, an analytical dispersion relation is obtained by usi ng Helmholtz decomposition. Influences of the material parameters on the phase v elocities and attenuation of Rayleigh waves are analyzed numerically for the sat urated standard linear viscoelastic porous medium with both permeable and imperm eable surfaces. It is shown that the influence of the viscosity of the solid ske leton is remarkable, and it depends on the conditions of the permeabilities of t he surfaces.

In this paper, the Monte Carlo method is used to calculate the ind uced radiation of high energy electron accelerator induced by neutron. It is us e ful to establish a waiting time rule. The total cross section of radiation dam ag e of the interaction between the neutron and Fe, Cu and Ni is calculated using t he MSDM code. Distribution of the radioisotope and the production cross sections induced by the interaction of different energy neutron and accelerator are then obtained. A comparison of the results is presented.

Entanglement is used to measure correlation between entangled subsyste ms. In this paper, we use Von Neumann entropy to study evolution of the entangle ment for two coupled dual level atoms in the process of interaction between ato m s and the field initially prepared in a coherent state. We show that the entangl ement is related to coupled strength, detuning and intensity of the field. For t wo atoms initially prepared in the Bell basis, with coupled strength between two atoms and detuning between atoms and the field increased, entanglement and its oscillating frequency will increase. But increasing the intensity of the field l eads to decrease of entanglement.

An inhibitory mechanism of the lotus leaf derived lipase i nhibitor is proposed. This inhibitor does not act directly on the lipase molecul e but blocks the enzyme substrate contact by modifying the emulsion of the lipi d substrate. The inhibitory constant ( K i) is 0.2 mg/mL. Based on Dixon plo ts and Linweaver Burk plots, the lipase inhibitor demonstrates uncompetitive inhibiti on for lipase.

We constructed a bac terial artificial chromosome library of Dunaliella viridis , using vector pCC 1 BAC. The library consisted of 9 216 clones on 96 96 well plates. The average in sertion size was about 55 kb. A four dimensional PCR screening system was devel oped, by which single positive clone could be obtained with 4 rounds of PCR. Bas ed on the sequences of two cDNAs of Dunaliella viridis isolated in our lab ( DvSPT2 and DvTPSP respectively), we isolated 4 positive clones for each gene by PCR, indicating that the library had about 4 times genome coverage.

This study is to observe the effect of tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBH Q) and 1,1 di(2′,5′ dihydroxy 4′ butyl phenyl)ethane (DTBHQE) in an expe rimental atherosclerosis (AS) model in quails. AS model was produced in quails by admini stration of a high lipid diet, DTBHQE, TBHQ and Fenofibrate were fed for 8 and 1 4 weeks respectively. The total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high densit y lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL C) a nd total anti oxidative capacity (T AOC) in serum, and malondialdehyde (MDA) c on tent in liver were measured. Histopathological examinations of aorta and liver w ere observed under the light and electric microscope. The results show that, com pared with AS model quails, the AS plaque of aortic and coronary arterial endoth elium in quails fed with TBHQ and DTBHQE for 8 or 14 weeks were significantly de creased. The serum TG, TC, HDL C, T AOC and the liver MDA of TBHQ group were o bv iously lower than AS model group. Serum TG, TC, HDL C, LDL C T AOC and the li ver MDA content of DTBHQE groups were obviously lower than AS model group. All the above indicates that TBHQ and DTBHQE have effective action of anti AS.

High throughput experiments like microarray or protein mass spectromet ry can produce huge amount of data efficiently. These data, after some basic pre processing, are often presented in the form of a list of gene/protein identifier s accompanied by (semi) quantitative experimental data such as expression profil es. It is necessary to obtain detailed annotation information about these genes/ proteins to further analyze these data and to extract biological meanings. We de veloped a web based platform UBROAD (Unified Batch Retriever of Annotation Data ) to facilitate quick and efficient retrieval of annotation data for genes and pr oteins from various sources. UBROAD integrates several biological data sources i ncluding NCBI, Swiss Prot, BIND, Enzyme, genetounigene and genetoaccession, and supports mixed searches of eight types of identifiers including Uniprot/trEMBL A C, Uniprot Entryname, Genbank Protein Accession Number, Genbank mRNA gi, Genbank mRNA Accession Number, Gene name, Gene ID and Unigene ID. The output file inclu des 38 annotation items downloadable in the form of Microsoft Excel. UBROAD is f reely available at http://www.bioscience.org.cn/ubroad.
