Abstract: Using factor analysis and optimal parting of ordered samples, this paper evaluat es the three basic targets of commercial bank operation: profitability, liquidit y and security. An empirical analysis of 14 commercial banks in China shows that the conclusion is reasonable and fit in with facts.
