    Given a graph G=(V, E), any nonempty subset S of V is called a locating-dominating set if the sets I(v)=N[v]∩S are nonempty and pairwise different for all v∈V-S, where N[v] is the closed neighborhood of v. A locating-dominating set S is called a faulttolerant locating-dominating set of G if it can locate a faulty processor for any w∈V when all processors in S transmit the correct value 0, 1, or 2 and when exactly one device incorrectly transmits 0 rather than 1 or 2.This paper studies the fault-tolerant locating-dominating set. We present bounds of the minimum cardinality of the fault-tolerant locating-dominating set, both in finite graphs and in infinite triangular grids.

    Actins are structural proteins widely distributed in eukaryotes. In plants, the actin cytoskeleton plays an essential role in many cellular processes including cell division and cytoplasmic streaming. Study of the ACTIN gene family is important for understanding the mechanism of these processes. In this study, bioinformatics analysis identified 20, 18 and 22 ACTIN genes respectively in arabidopsis, rice and poplar. A comprehensive overview of this gene family is presented, including chromosome distribution, gene structure, gene duplication, phylogeny, and conserved motifs. The plant ACTINs are organized into 12 subfamilies based on phylogenetic relationship. These results provide clues for study of gene family evolution, and serve as a solid base for future functional genomic studies of the ACTIN gene families in plants.

    By analyzing the mechanism of oil-soluble viscosity reducer, we investigated the viscosity reduction effect of monomer (octadecyl acrylate, styrene, maleic anhydride), and synthesized a variety of oil-soluble copolymer as viscosity reducers. The results show that the product is better by the controlling the monomer ratio. When the monomer ratio was 6∶2∶1 and the concentration of viscosity reducer was 0.01%, the viscosity reduction rate is 40% or more, and stability of viscosity reduction effect is well.

    A Novel Defected Ground Structure and Its Application to Lowpass Filter

    A novel defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed and the effect of the defect parameters on its performances is presented. A lowpass filter is designed using the proposed DGS. Experimental results confirm that the lowpass filter can provide a very wide stopband with 20 dB bandgap, which is approximately 3.7 times of the cutoff frequency. Therefore the higher order harmonic responses are effectively suppressed. In addition, the highimpedance inductances are realized by using DGS so that highpower handling capability is improved.

    Microphaseseparating behaviors of two typical star-diblock copolymer films have been investigated using the dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) technique. A series of ordered structures and corresponding phase diagrams have been obtained. Results show that, compared to (AxBy)4, the phase diagram of (Ax)4(By)4 is distinctly symmetric. It is easier to carry out phase-separating for the latter than for the former, similar to their behaviors in bulk. Additionally, it is easier for the island phase to appear in (AxBy)4 films under the same conditions. Some structures formed in bulk and film at the same composition fraction can correspond to each other to a certain extent, and one-dimension confinement can make these systems form more kinds of microphase-separating structures. Besides, both thinner film and stronger A-B repulsion can contribute to enhance the order of relevant structures.

    Full three dimensional numerical simulations of centrifugal pump are carried out using ANSYS CFX11.0 under 2 operating conditions with 6 different impeller positions. The Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations are solved with a turbulence model of standard k-ε. The flow pattern is obtained. The head and hydraulic efficiency of the pump are computed. The results are compared with measured data and the unsteady results. Based on these, an analysis is made over the effect of impeller position on the steady calculation of centrifugal pump.

    In this paper, an improved range-ree localization algorithm in wireless sensor networks is proposed, termed the variable elasticity spring imitate location algorithm. The hops to anchor nodes and average distance for a hop can be determined in the primarystep in order to get node initial positions, and then refine the positions with an iterative procedure by adopting physics imitate. Simulation results show that the algorithm outperforms the DVHop algorithm in the same anchor fraction and average connectivity.

    An effective method to smooth prior SNR is proposed. Based on the definition of prior SNR, this method smoothes prior SNR by using wavelet thresholding multi-taper estimators to reduce variance of speech and noise power spectrum.The method for smoothing prior SNR can avoid delay in the estimated prior SNR when energy level at the beginning of speech is high by using the decisiondirected method. It can also enhance estimation accuracy of prior SNR. Speech enhancement combined with this method can effectively suppress “music noise”, especially at low input SNR

    A static allocation strategy of data-bits is proposed based on an experimental system of hundreds ternary optical computer. The main idea is to properly allocate data-bits to a single task. A static designation, grouping, attribute setup, and allocation process of data-bits are discussed. An example is introduced to demonstrate the allocation strategy of data-bits.

    Soybean isoflavones were determined with a single-wave-length method, a three-wave-length method and HPLC. Singlewavelength method (y=7.431 7x-0.055 6,R2=0.999 8) and three-wave-length method (y=32.432x+0.048 8, R2=0.998 1) were used conveniently for total isoflavones. HPLC (genistin, y=1 828.6x-96.467, R2=0.996 4; daidzin, y=1 795.4x-420.67, R2=0.9953) was used for single isoflavone, which was complicated. Accuracy and precision of the three methods in a descending order is HPLC, three-wave-length method, and single-wave-length method.

    Based on a set of gene expression data of Burkitt lymphoma, the method
    of significance analysis of microarrays (SAM) was used to select a group of 90 feature genes significantly related with AnnArbor staging of Burkitt lymphoma. Nine genes have been found most frequently appear in involved pathways of those 90 feature genes, falling into the Gene Ontology (GO) category of signal transduction and having common functions related with mechanisms of tumor origin or development. In those functions, two functions related with worse development of Burkitt lymphoma were first reported.

    The current research on optical computers is focused on three aspects: execution speed, twodimensional parallel processing, and system performance. Hot topics and difficult problems in these aspects are introduced. By comparison, it is concluded that the ternary optical computer (TOC) which seeks overall system performance is the most feasible. Advantages of ternary optical computers include availability of a large number of data bits, lower energy consumption, and easy reconfiguration and expansibility of the optical processor. Based on these advantages, new ideas and algorithms for solving highly complicated problems can be created. An experimental kilobit ternary optical computer is now under construction at the School of Computer Engineering and Science, Shanghai University, to be used for applications research. Related to the new machine, the advantages, possible applications, userviewable architectures, online operation, program operation, and hardware expansion of optical computers are discussed.

    Based on thermodynamic and dynamic calculation of hot metal dephosphorization in a converter, and the analysis of production data of a 300 t dephosphorization converter of Shougang Jingtang Steel Corporation, this paper studies the selective oxidation characteristics of Fe, Si, Mn, C, and P in a hot metal, and the main factors affecting dephosphorization. The phosphorus distribution between hot metal and slag are also discussed. The results show that Si and Mn are oxidized first during oxygen blowing when the oxygen potential increased, and oxidation of P and C occurs. To decrease the hot metal pretreatment temperature to about 1 300~1 350 ℃ and control the slag basicity to about 1.7~2.5 are the key to solving the problem of removing P at high carbon content. Improving the slagging process in a dephosphorization converter combined with high bottom gas stirring intensity can improve the dephosphorization rate.

    E-Euclidean Centralized Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks

    We develop an algorithm that computes the Euclidean distance between beacon node and orphan node, estimates the position of orphan node by maximum likely-hood algorithms, and acquires a more precise position by the WLS calculating iteratively. Three methods are given to solve the problems of multihops Euclidean distances. Based on a new opinion over the weighted matrix, the algorithm makes overall plans to look for orphan nodes up to the localization conditions. The orphan node becomes assistant beacon node to aid localization after being localized. Simulation results demonstrate that the average error of positioning is lower and coverage is better when connectivity is 8.

    The presence of excessively illuminated regions in an image may have negative influence on image processing such as segmentation and feature extraction. It is important to overcome this problem in computer vision applications. This paper introduces a method for removing high-intensity regions in a single image. By extracting the excessively illuminated regions and changing their brightness, the problem is resolved.

    Ethanol extract of lotus leaves was first obtained, and the extract wa s then purified using chloroform. The effects of several factors on inhibitory a ctivity are studied. An inhibitory mechanism of the lotus leaf derived lipase i nhibitor is proposed. This inhibitor does not act directly on the lipase molecul e but blocks the enzyme substrate contact by modifying the emulsion of the lipi d substrate. The inhibitory constant ( K i) is 0.2 mg/mL. Based on Dixon plo ts and Linweaver Burk plots, the lipase inhibitor demonstrates uncompetitive inhibiti on for lipase.
