Abstract:

To build a physical channel test platform to validate reliability of time division long term evolution (TD-LTE) technology for rail transit communication based train control (CBTC), it is necessary to set up a train-ground communication channel model. In this paper, a time-frequency analysis method is used to study the Doppler effect of a wireless time-varying channel in tunnel environments, especially when the train passes through the rail-side base station. Doppler spread based on a multiplicative spread factor is proposed. A channel model suited to physical realization with RF circuits is established. Effectiveness of the method is verified by ray tracing.
