Abstract: The process of the auto-crash test is expensive in labor, time and cost. The implicit finite element method solver MSC-Marc has been used for the sensitive triggering flow (secondary-mode) before the impact happens. The mathematical model of simulation is interesting for the passive safety in automotive protection devices. The Navier-Stokes equation is considered for a deformed moving boundary u condition and resulting cavity flowV problem in the impact perturbation.

Key words: moving boundary, MSC-Marc implicit method, transient, cavity flow
