Abstract:
A method of incomplete digestion with flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) for the determination of high calcium content in milk powder is reported. The sample milk powder was incompletely digested with HNO 3H 2 O 2 in a pressurized vessel. Emulsifier OP-10 and releasing agent lanthanum were added for FAAS determination of calcium. Parameters were optimized. Recovery of the method was in the range of 101%~104% with RSD 0.29%.
