Group Classification of Finite Difference Scheme

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis on the group structure of finite difference scheme in computational fluid dynamics using the Lie group analysis method, together with the invariant solutions of the traditional schemes. The study will help understand the differential effects of discreteness on numerical dissipation and dispersion.
