Synthesis and surface properties of novel gemini surfactants

摘要: 合成制备了4 种含有不同疏水基及联接基团的阳离子型Gemini 表面活性剂. 红外谱图分析和质谱表征显示, 产物与设计的目标分子结构基本一致; 表面张力的测试结果表明,产物的临界胶束浓度(critical micelle concentration, CMC)同传统的表面活性剂相比降低了12 个数量级, 且随着疏水基C 原子和联接基团的单元数的增加而下降; 乳化性能测试结果表明, 产物在高盐浓度下的乳化能力明显优于传统单链型表面活性剂.

Abstract: A series of cationic gemini surfactants with different spacer chain lengths and hydrophobic groups were synthesized. Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FT-IR) and mass spectrometry(MS) indicated that the structures of the products were fully identical with the design molecular. Further, measurements of the surface property were conducted, showing that all of them had lower surface tension, and their critical micelle concentration(CMC) obviously declined with the increasing length of the flexible hydrophilic spacer groups and hydrophobic groups. In addition, the emulsifying capacity was better than the traditional single-chain surfactants.
