摘要: 语义对象分割是各种基于内容的多媒体应用领域中的一项关键技术,是近10年来图像与视频处理领域的一个研究热点.从实际应用的角度出发,介绍了三类具有应用价值的语义对象分割方法,即实时的自动对象分割、非实时的交互式对象分割以及针对具体应用的基于先验知识的对象分割.在分析了各类语义对象分割技术的利弊后,指出了语义对象分割技术的进一步研究应该结合高层语义信息来扩大其适用范围,并展望了目前刚刚起步的基于视觉关注度的语义对象分割方法.

Abstract: Semantic object segmentation is a key technique for many content-based multimedia applications intensively investigated in the last decade. From the application viewpoint, three classes of practical semantic object segmentation approaches are discussed. Specifically, these approaches include realtime automatic object segmentation, non-realtime interactive object segmentation, a prior knowledge based object segmentation. Having analyzed the advantages and drawbacks of each class, we conclude that high-level semantics should be integrated in the semantic object segmentation approaches to further expand its applicability. We also give a preview of the emerging visual attention based semantic object segmentation approaches.
