Abstract: This paper introduces the construction of software and hardware platform of SoftCNC, including SERCOS interface card, SoftSERCANS software and RTX real-time system. Software is developed with Visual C++ 6.0 in Windows XP embedded RTX real-time system, shared memory is created for communication between two processes. Functions of an advanced CNC system are implemented with improved system openness and dynamic characteristics.
