Abstract: In this paper, a solution to broadcasting/multicasting in hybrid WDM/TDM PON using a broadcast wavelength channel is proposed. Simulation shows that the method can significantly reduce the burden of broadcasting/multicasting data processing in the unicasting channel and make effective use of wavelength resources in hybrid-PON systems. 
