D形光纤样品制备及其Bragg光栅的实验测量

摘要: 采用研磨预制棒的方法,制备了D形光纤样品,并在此样品上制作了Bragg光栅,介绍了工艺制作和测量中的一些实际经验.采用深度化学腐蚀技术以增强Bragg波长对外界折射率的传感灵敏度,测量了D形少模光纤Bragg光栅各模式谐振波长随外界折射率和温度的变化曲线,为进一步进行折射率传感研究打下了实验基础.

Abstract: Samples of D-shape fiber are fabricated using grinding fiber preform, and Bragg gratings are incurved into these samples. Practical aspects in fabrication and measurements are presented. By deep etching into the core, sensitivity of Bragg wavelength to the refractive index is increased. Changes in resonant wavelength of different modes of the D-shape few-mode fiber Bragg grating with respect to surrounding refractive index and temperature, respectively, are measured. The measured data well agree with simulation results, providing a good base for further research on the sensing surrounding refractive index.
