Abstract: With the deep development of the “reform and opening to the outside world”, the Chinese film industry is more and more melting into the world. And with the evergreat influence of international films, it is vital for the new challenge of the Chinese film industry to promote its further development in the context of globalisation, among which, how to reconstruct the Chinese film investigation and grade is a key link. The film industries in Western developed countries such as US, UK, Canada and Australia have comparatively wellconsidered systems of film investigation and grade as well as rich experiences in the period of transformation. All these not only provide an important practice for establishment of the film investigation and grade with Chinese characteristics, but also help to see clearly through the contemporary system of the media in Western countries.
