摘要： 费老对建筑（住宅）社会学的思考虽未引起人们的关注，但却贯穿于他的大部分学术人生中。他主张，建筑应考虑到人，同时也可以通过建筑去认识人；城市是一种历史文化现象，因此对城市的建设与规划就不能不考虑文化传统的保护问题；现代城市文明不仅给人带来了物质生活的享受，同时也影响着人的心态和精神生活。

Abstract: Fei Xiao-tong’s views on architectural sociology run through his academic career although they are not well concerned. He holds that the factor of persons should be considered in architecture, by which, we can understand them very well. And due to the fact that city is characteristic of history and culture, it is necessary to protect cultural tradition in architectural design. While modern civilization brings about people’s comfortable life, it also influences people’s psychology and the spirit of life.
